Overview
Sam's Furniture GTA is a residential furniture retailer that has served the Greater Toronto Area from its North York showroom since 2004. CS2 built a full Shopify storefront, categorized by living room, dining, bedroom, and office/gaming, with sale pricing, multi-image product galleries, customer accounts, and free local delivery on orders over $499 stitched right into the conversion flow.
The challenge
What the business needed
Sam's sells real-world furniture at retail prices to GTA homeowners: sectionals, mattresses, dining sets, gaming chairs. A brochure site wouldn't cut it. They needed true e-commerce, with live pricing, multi-image product galleries, sale-vs-regular markdowns, customer logins, and a checkout that handles taxes and shipping. A static Next.js site couldn't carry inventory, payments, and order management without months of custom backend work. A templated Shopify theme, on the other hand, would've looked like every other furniture store on the platform.
The build
What CS2 shipped
CS2 built Sam's on Shopify with a custom theme tuned for furniture retail: department-driven navigation (Living Room, Dining, Bedroom, Office/Gaming), a Best Sellers homepage block, multi-image product carousels with up to 8 images per SKU, strike-through sale pricing, and an integrated cart and checkout. The 'Free Local Delivery on Orders Over $499' threshold sits in the conversion flow itself instead of being buried in policy pages, while the showroom address, hours, and Google Maps embed back the online catalog with bricks-and-mortar credibility. Customer accounts let repeat buyers reorder without re-entering shipping details.

Outcome
How it operates today
Sam's now sells GTA furniture online without looking like a template store, while inheriting Shopify's payments, tax, and inventory plumbing. The site extends a showroom business that's served Toronto since 2004, and repeat buyers get a one-click path to their next order.
What this proves
How CS2 picks the right stack for the job (Shopify for true retail e-commerce, custom Next.js for marketing and SaaS) instead of forcing one framework on every business.
